We’re working with a creative partnerships agency operating at the intersection of sport, culture and live experience, looking for an experienced Director – Sponsorship Activation to join the business on a 6–8 month contract. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced agency environments and is equally comfortable shaping strategic partnership work as they are rolling up their sleeves to drive exceptional delivery across multiple workstreams. The role will lead integrated partnerships across a portfolio spanning roughly 70% sport and 30% wider culture partnerships including music, art and entertainment. This agency specialise in partnership strategy, creative development and activation delivery creating culturally relevant work that lands in the real world. As such, they’re looking for someone who understands how a modern creative partnerships agency operates and who is excited by that environment.
Responsibilities
- You’ll act as a trusted senior lead for a major client, confidently managing high-level stakeholder relationships and leading strategic conversations, whilst also ensuring best-in-class account management, process and project delivery internally.
- This is very much a “doing” role ideal for someone commercially sharp, operationally excellent and deeply collaborative.
- A large proportion of the output sits within live experiences and activations, so experience working closely with creative, experiential and production teams is essential.
Qualifications / Experience
- The ideal background will come from agencies set up around integrated creative and delivery teams, rather than purely sponsorship consultancy or rights-focused businesses.
- Previous experience working within highly collaborative creative agency structures will be hugely beneficial.
- Strong sponsorship activation and partnerships background across sport and culture.
- Experience leading senior client relationships and strategic partnership programmes.
- Excellent operational and project management skills.
- Comfortable working closely with creative and production teams on live experiences.
- Proven experience within integrated creative/partnerships agencies.
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
