A global sports league is looking for a Communications Manager to join its headquarters. They focus on sustainability and have a purpose-driven agenda.
As Communications Manager, you will join its global team and support the overall efforts to drive visibility, awareness, and interest for sport, with a focus on promoting the league’s purpose-driven agenda.
You will assist with the management of effective communications strategies across earned and owned media that significantly raise awareness. You will support year-round efforts to expand into key markets, working in coordination with local personnel and appointed agencies. You will also be responsible for the coordination of the sustainability communications plan.
You will help with overall media relations efforts, fostering relationships with consumer and trade media, with a focus on sustainability. You will lead in communications liaisons with the digital media team, assisting in the development and implementation of strategic content plans.
You will be a key player in contributing to bringing purpose-driven partnerships to life through activation support and creative storytelling. You will also assist at the media centre on site at global events and will be in charge of writing and editing press releases, event recaps, media materials, messaging, website copy, and other communications for internal and external use.
To be considered for the role as Communications Manager, you will have a good knowledge of the global media landscape and ideally established sustainable media connections. An interest in sports and purpose, along with additional languages, are a bonus. You will also be willing and happy to travel domestically and internationally.
