- I’m working with a practice that is looking to appoint an experienced
Housing Disrepair Solicitor to join their busy litigation team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone confident managing a high-volume caseload and keen to progress claims efficiently from instruction through to settlement.
The Role
- You’ll be responsible for a varied caseload of Housing Disrepair matters, including:
- Managing a high-volume caseload and working at pace to meet competing deadlines.
- Applying strong knowledge of the CPR, Housing Conditions Pre-Action Protocol, and relevant housing legislation.
- Reviewing cases for issues, issuing proceedings, assessing Defences and drafting Replies.
- Preparing cases for allocation, directions, PTRs and trial.
- Reviewing expert reports (Claimant & Defendant) and drafting
Part 35 questions.
- Negotiating and achieving effective settlements.
- Maintaining accurate case records using case management systems.
- Providing excellent client care and clear communication throughout each matter.
- Taking a commercial, pragmatic approach to litigation with a focus on progressing and resolving claims efficiently.
