Wirral | Hybrid (3 Days Office)£25,000 – £28,000 DOE | Full-Time or Part-Time

We’re recruiting a Financial Administrator for a modern, tech-enabled legal services organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in legal finance, with full training provided and strong progression potential.

The Role

You’ll support the day-to-day running of client and office accounts, gaining hands-on experience across cashiering, reconciliations and accounts administration.

Key duties:

  • Posting client receipts and payments
  • Processing CHAPS, BACs and telegraphic transfers
  • Assisting with client-to-office transfers
  • Monitoring balances and residual funds
  • Supporting bank reconciliations
  • Posting invoices/expenses in Xero
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Assisting with audit and compliance queries
  • General accounts administration

About You

  • Genuine interest in finance or accountancy
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Organised, proactive and confident with Excel
  • Professional communication and discretion

Desirable:

  • Finance or legal cashiering experience
  • Xero knowledge
  • Understanding of SRA Accounts Rules
  • AAT Level 2/3 (advantageous)

Flexibility

We are happy to consider part-time applicants (3–4 days per week) and those seeking flexible hours, including school-hours working patterns.
