A large financial services client is undergoing a significant technology and regulatory transformation and are in need of a Solutions Architect to play a key role in shaping how technology is designed, integrated, and delivered across the organisation. This is a hands-on architecture role within a complex FS environment — combining legacy platforms, modern cloud solutions, and integration layers.
You’ll work across business and technology and data teams to ensure solutions are:
- Architecturally sound
- Scalable and resilient
- Aligned to regulatory expectations
- Deliverable in practice, not just on paper
This role offers strong visibility and influence across a multi-stream transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end solution architectures across insurance systems and platforms
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable technical designs
- Define and guide integration approaches (APIs, middleware, event-driven patterns)
- Ensure resilience, security, and third-party considerations are embedded into designs
- Collaborate closely with delivery, data, and security teams
- Support implementation teams to ensure solutions are executed as intended
Exceptional background in insurance or financial services. Strong understanding of complex system landscapes and integrations. Experience working across both legacy and modern platforms. Ability to turn business requirements into clear technical designs. Comfortable working in delivery-focused environments. Regulatory tech transformation background. Strong domain knowledge in DORA (advantageous).
