As a Tier 1 NOC Engineer, you will be the first line of defence for our managed network services. The main responsibility will be identifying, diagnosing, managing and resolving incidents, minimising the impact of any network outage and customer downtime.

Requirements
  • Technical Requirements
    • Networking Fundamentals: A solid understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
    • Carrier Knowledge: Proven experience troubleshooting UK broadband and leased line products (FTTC/FTTP/Ethernet).
    • Vendor Exposure: Hands-on experience (or certification) with at least one of the following:
      • Juniper (Junos OS)
      • Fortinet (FortiOS/FortiGate)
      • MikroTik (RouterOS)
    • Protocols: Basic understanding of BGP, OSPF, and VPN (IPsec/SSL) tunnels.
    • SD-WAN/MPLS: Familiarity with wide-area network architectures and how they differ from standard DIA (Direct Internet Access).
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • CCNA, JNCIA, or NSE 4 certifications.
    • Previous experience in a 24/7 NOC environment.
    • Experience with ticketing systems.
