We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused Desk Based Sales Executive to join our growing sales team. This is a blended sales role combining account growth (75%) and new business generation (25%). You will be responsible for maximising revenue from existing customers through upselling, cross-selling and renewals, whilst proactively identifying and engaging new prospects to create future growth opportunities.
Working closely with Client Managers, Service Managers, Project Managers and Solutions teams, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and achieving ambitious sales targets.
Purpose of the Role
To drive business growth and customer satisfaction across MLL's UK Public Sector customer base, including Local Authorities, Education, NHS, Emergency Services and Third Sector organisations. The role will focus primarily on expanding existing customer relationships through MLL's portfolio of connectivity, network, voice, collaboration, hosting, security and managed services solutions, whilst also developing a pipeline of new customer opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management & Sales Growth (75%)
- Manage inbound sales enquiries and order desk requests from existing customers.
- Working with the order processing and solution architect to generate quotations.
- Drive customer retention, growth and contract renewals.
- Ensure all opportunities, activities and customer interactions are accurately maintained within the CRM system.
- Develop and manage a healthy personal sales pipeline.
- Achieve agreed Gross Margin (GM), Sales Order Value (SOV) and revenue growth targets.
- Generate and qualify leads through outbound prospecting activities including telephone, email and social selling.
- Execute outbound sales campaigns to support business growth objectives.
- Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities and maintain accurate sales forecasts.
- Consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Growing revenue and customer value within existing accounts.
