Responsibilities:

  • Keeping the Housekeeping team focused on the critical components of operations to drive guest satisfaction and the desired financial results.
  • Ensuring compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards and procedures.
  • Establishing goals and objectives for all areas of responsibility.
  • Directing staff to strive for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
  • Initiating and maintaining an effective inspection program including rooms; public areas; associates’ work and locker areas; storage areas; recreation areas; laundry areas; garage and grounds.
  • Developing hotel general cleaning schedule and managing execution of work.
  • Understanding and communicating to staff the operating and maintenance procedures of all departmental equipment.
  • Supervising and approving the budgeting and ordering of guestroom and cleaning supplies.
  • Being aware of hotel’s layout and facilities.
  • Ensuring all rooms correspond with lists given, reporting any discrepancies immediately to Office Coordinator/ Front Desk/ Rooms Controller.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues immediately.
  • Complying with COSHH and Health and Safety Standards.
  • Following the lost property procedures.
  • Complying with Brand Standards when cleaning and getting each room ready for the guest arrival.
  • Delivering an exceptionally high standard of five-star luxury lifestyle service for every guest interaction.
  • Attitude, grooming standard, body language and tone need to be positive, supportive and on brand at all times.
  • Carrying out other duties that may be required to ensure the overall hotel operation is properly maintained.

Safety and Company Policies:

  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Support the team to reach common goals.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience, as a Housekeeping Supervisor.
