The Role
As a Prepress Operator, you will be responsible for preparing customer artwork for production across a range of print processes, ensuring all files meet quality and technical requirements before reaching press.
Key Responsibilities
- Checking and preparing artwork for print production.
- Preflighting, correcting, and optimising customer files.
- Managing RIP workflows and colour management processes.
- Producing proofs and liaising with production teams to ensure job accuracy.
- Supporting lithographic, digital and large format printing operations.
- Maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Working closely with customer service, estimating, and production departments.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a Prepress Operator role within a commercial print environment.
- Strong understanding of lithographic printing processes.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Experience with artwork checking, imposition, colour management, and PDF workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience within a large-format print environment.
- Knowledge of digital print workflows and RIP software.
- Experience working with modern automated prepress systems.
