HR Business Partner - Band 8b (Part-Time, 6-Month Contract)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Business Partner (Band 8b) to join a key NHS service transformation project, supporting the integration of services.
This role is critical to support the transition, which involves aligning service pathways across two sites into a single, streamlined service. The successful candidate will work directly with managers and teams to ensure a smooth and people-focused transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with managers to provide expert HR guidance, coaching, and hands-on support through change
- Support the integration of teams from two sites into one cohesive service model
- Navigate the complexities of service environments without being distracted by noise
- Ensure that managers are empowered and equipped to lead their teams through the transition confidently
- Be on-site three days per week to build strong, practical relationships and support implementation
Essential Criteria:
- Significant experience as an HR Business Partner within the NHS (Band 8b level or equivalent)
- Strong technical HR knowledge and experience with complex organisational change
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and confident in supporting managers in pressured clinical environments
- A people-first approach, with the ability to balance strategic priorities with on-the-ground realities
- Experience working with or supporting paediatric and/or cardiac service lines is highly desirable
