DevOps Engineer - CGP

A UK-based NfP in London requires a senior, hands-on DevOps Engineer to take operational ownership of its live Google Cloud Platform estate. GCP, Terraform, GitHub Actions.
/n
Three-month contract £500 per day, outside IR35. Remote working. Where a team meet up is required, expenses will be paid from travel.

Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Maintain, troubleshoot and support production and non-production services on GCP.
/n
- Manage infrastructure through Terraform.
/n
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
/n
- Support application deployments, APIs and integrations across multiple environments.
/n
- Respond quickly to infrastructure, deployment and service issues.
/n
- Review monitoring, logging, alerting, access controls, backups and operational risks.
/n
- Turn existing documentation into clear, usable runbooks.
/n
- Pair with and upskill the wider technology team.
/n
- Leave the estate stable, supportable and ready for a permanent DevOps hire.
/n

Essential experience
/n
/n
- Strong, recent, hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience.
/n
- Production-level Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise.
/n
- Strong GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline experience.
/n
- Experience supporting live web applications, APIs and multiple cloud environments.
/n
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, deployments, networking, access and application dependencies.
/n
- Able to take ownership with minimal supervision.
/n
- Strong technical documentation and knowledge-transfer skills.
/n

- Firebase.
/n
- PostgreSQL.
