A leading London NHS Trust is seeking an experienced RTT Validator to support the accuracy and quality of patient pathway data across elective services.
About the Role
You will play a key part in ensuring the Trust meets Referral to Treatment (RTT) national standards by accurately validating patient pathways. Working alongside operational and information teams, you will review and amend pathway data to ensure complete compliance with national RTT rules and definitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate patient records across specialties to ensure accurate RTT status.
- Correct data errors and update systems in line with NHS RTT rules.
- Work closely with Patient Tracking List (PTL) teams and service managers to support effective waiting list management.
- Highlight issues and patterns in data quality and contribute to improvement actions.
- Ensure all work is clearly documented, auditable, and completed to deadline.
Essential Experience
- Demonstrable experience of RTT validation in an NHS provider setting.
- Detailed understanding of the 18-week RTT rules and guidance.
- Skilled in using hospital patient administration systems (e.g. Cerner, Medway, Epic, or similar).
- High level of attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data accurately.
- Confident working independently and remotely, if required.
Desirable
- Knowledge of cancer pathway validation and/or diagnostics waiting times.
- Experience supporting elective recovery initiatives or national returns.
