We're partnering with a Local Authority to recruit an experienced Corporate Financial Accountant to play a pivotal role in a major Unit4 ERP transformation programme. This is a high-profile interim opportunity where you'll act as the Finance Subject Matter Expert, leading the finance workstream to optimise the Council's existing Unit4 finance system before supporting the implementation of a new Unit4 HR/Payroll solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance workstream for a large-scale Unit4 ERP transformation programme.
  • Act as the Finance SME, working closely with Finance, IT, HR and external implementation partners.
  • Review, redesign and optimise the Chart of Accounts, coding structures, dimensions and financial hierarchies.
  • Improve financial controls, governance and end-to-end finance processes.
  • Configure and optimise Unit4 to support budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and statutory reporting.
  • Drive automation and reduce reliance on manual spreadsheets by improving system functionality.
  • Support organisational change, financial restructures and reporting improvements.
  • Deliver user training, workshops and knowledge transfer.
