Interim Accountant – Place
London Local Authority
Circa £500 per day – Inside IR35
Initial 6-month contract
One of our local authority client's in London is looking to appoint an experienced Interim Accountant to support its Place Directorate on an initial 6-month contract.
The successful candidate will provide financial support across a range of Place services, working closely with budget holders and senior stakeholders to support effective financial management and forecasting.
Key requirements:
- Strong previous local authority accounting experience
- Good understanding of a Place Directorate environment
- Experience supporting areas such as regeneration, property, planning, highways, transport, environment or waste
- Strong budget monitoring, forecasting and management accounting experience
- Ability to provide clear financial advice to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience working in a fast-paced local government finance team
This role would suit an experienced local government accountant who can quickly get up to speed and provide effective financial support across a complex directorate.
