Launch your career in residential surveying with a highly respected and growing practice. Our client is looking to recruit two Assistant/Trainee Surveyors to join their expanding team. These are opportunities for ambitious individuals looking to build a long-term career in residential surveying, with structured training, genuine career progression and full support towards RICS qualification.
The successful candidates will ideally be based in either South-West London or East London, supporting clients across London and the surrounding counties.
The Role
Working alongside experienced Chartered Surveyors, you'll receive hands-on training across a broad range of residential surveying disciplines. Your initial training will focus on Party Wall matters, including:
- Analysing architectural and structural drawings
- Preparing Party Wall Notices and Awards
- Undertaking site inspections and producing Schedules of Condition
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of Party Wall cases
As your knowledge and experience develop, you'll progress into:
- RICS Level 2 and Level 3 Home Surveys
- Building pathology investigations
- Defect diagnosis and reporting
- Residential Red Book Valuations
- Leasehold and enfranchisement valuations
This is a hybrid position combining home working, office-based mentoring and site visits, offering excellent practical experience and a clear pathway towards becoming a qualified Chartered Surveyor.
About You
You will have:
- A genuine interest in residential surveying and property
- The ambition to work towards RICS qualification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good planning and organisational skills
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- The ability to build strong working relationships
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
This opportunity would suit a recent graduate, although a degree is not essential. Equally, applicants with experience in a property-related role who are looking to develop a career in surveying are encouraged to apply.
