Purpose of the Role
The Residential Survey and Valuation sector is undergoing rapid change, and it is essential that our Client responds effectively to this evolving environment while continuing to deliver the highest standards of service to their clients and meeting all regulatory obligations. These positions will be part of a regional team of surveyors, carrying out Desktop and Enhanced Desktop valuations across a broad variety of residential property types and styles.
Responsibilities
- Work to a high standard and maximising productivity undertaking Desktop and Enhanced Desktop valuations whilst representing the company in a professional manner.
- Be the first point of call in the risk assessment of market-suitable properties for secured loan purposes.
- Assist clients in making informed decisions on whether a property is suitable for purchase and mortgage purposes.
- Carry out physical inspections to a minimum of two days per month, flexible depending on business need.
Experience Required
- AssocRICS/MRICS minimum with at least one year of PQE in residential surveying undertaking mortgage valuations.
- VRS Registered.
- Ability to demonstrate a proven claims-free track record.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that needs are fully understood and met in a way that meets the requirements of the business.
- Excellent understanding of building pathology and construction.
- Understanding of desktop analysis and valuation.
- Self-motivating & willing to go the extra mile to provide a positive client experience.
