Established for many years and with an excellent reputation across London and the South East, our client has built a loyal client base through the delivery of high‑quality professional surveying services. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Residential Building Surveyor to join their team. Whilst applications are welcomed from experienced senior surveyors, the company is also keen to hear from ambitious candidates with a minimum of five years' relevant experience who are looking to take the next step in their career and can operate confidently with a high degree of independence.
The Role
- Pre‑Purchase Surveys
- General Condition Surveys
- Management of Section 20 Works
- Contract Administration and Project Management
- Licences for Alterations
- Insurance Reinstatement Valuations
- Party Wall Matters (Experience Desirable But Not Essential)
- Other residential professional surveying instructions
Unlike many surveying practices, the workload is carefully managed, with surveyors typically spending around three days per week undertaking inspections, leaving time for report writing, project work, and maintaining a healthy work‑life balance. The role can be undertaken on a hybrid basis or from the company's North West London office.
About You
- AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS qualified
- Minimum 5 years' relevant surveying experience
- Able to manage instructions independently
- Strong report writing and client‑facing skills
- Experience of residential building surveying and professional work
- Party Wall experience desirable
- VRS registration advantageous but not essential
