Job Purpose
To support the General Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving business performance, and ensuring smooth daily operations in a fast-paced, high-quality Italian restaurant environment.
Operations Management
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of service, cleanliness, and food quality.
- Step in to lead shifts and manage service effectively during peak periods.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations.
Team Leadership
- Support recruitment, training, and development of front-of-house staff.
- Motivate and coach the team to deliver outstanding service aligned with brand standards.
- Supervise staff performance and handle employee relations issues when required.
Customer Experience
- Deliver a warm, welcoming, and memorable dining experience for all guests.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain high service standards consistent with the Gino D’Acampo brand.
Financial Performance
- Assist in managing budgets, labour costs, and stock control.
- Support in achieving sales targets and maximising profitability.
- Monitor daily sales, costs, and KPIs, reporting directly to the General Manager.
Stock & Supplier Management
- Oversee ordering, stock rotation, and inventory accuracy.
- Minimise waste and ensure cost control procedures are followed.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality/restaurants.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Good understanding of financial controls (labour, GP, stock).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for Italian food, drink, and hospitality.
