Our client, a contractor that specialise in civil engineering, is looking to recruit an experienced General Foreman to join their expanding team to work on projects throughout the North West. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate as our client is offering excellent salary and package as well as fantastic opportunities for progression.
General Foreman Responsibilities:
- Understanding the main contract and relevant clauses
- Ensuring works are carried out productively with the safety of others a high priority
- Ensuring works are carried out to the highest standard
- Ensuring schemes are delivered on time and within budget
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
- Ensuring safety is first and foremost
- Plant and Labour reconciliations
- Communication with managers to ensure all site staff including Sub Contractors work safely
- Material reconciliations and produce regular reports
- Management of staff
- Review method statements/risk assessments
- Liaise with all relevant sub-contractors
General Foreman Requirements:
- Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent)
- If no educational qualifications, relevant experience as a GF working for a heavy civils contractor
- Civil engineering experience across roads, highways, water, earthworks etc
- Experienced in General Foreman
- Excellent communication and people and team management skills
