ML Projects is a growing architecture and project management practice based in Bermondsey. We specialise in luxury retail fitouts for global brands, delivering full RIBA Stage 3–6 services across Europe. Architectural design and project management sit under one roof, which means our architects carry genuine commercial accountability alongside design responsibility.
Project Architects are our delivery engine. You will lead two or three concurrent luxury retail fitouts from concept through handover, owning the drawings, specifications, consultant coordination, statutory approvals, and site delivery. You work autonomously, with a Part 2 Assistant to direct and a Design Lead to accelerate strategic decisions.
Retail is fast-paced and exacting. Programmes are tight, brands have uncompromising standards, and no two sites are the same. This role suits someone who enjoys site time, moves fluently between client conversations and technical documentation, and owns project outcomes.
What We Are Looking For
- ARB‑registered architect, or matched by strong luxury or premium retail fitout experience; RIBA chartered membership preferred or actively in progress.
- Strong technical output. Your drawings and specifications are accurate, coordinated, and issued on time.
- Demonstrable proficiency in Revit.
- Sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CDM 2015, and landlord approval processes.
- Clear, professional communicator in writing and in the room, with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Organised, proactive, and capable of managing competing priorities across a concurrent project portfolio.
- Demonstrable experience delivering retail or fitout projects through RIBA Stages 3–6, ideally within luxury or premium brands.
- Experience working within heritage or listed buildings.
- SketchUp or Enscape for visualisation and client presentations.
- Familiarity with European regulatory frameworks.
What ML Projects Offers
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
- Private medical, dental, and life insurance after probation.
- A clear, structured path to progression. Project Architects who demonstrate capability and ownership move forward quickly.
- A strong in‑studio culture at our Bermondsey studio.
- Regular exposure to globally recognised luxury brands and genuinely complex, high‑profile projects.
- An integrated architecture and project management model that gives architects rare commercial insight into full‑service delivery.
