The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The ideal candidate will oversee the entire construction project life cycle. You will manage personnel involved at different stages of the project and showcase strong design and technical abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team and conduct client meetings
  • Design construction documents and project management
  • Act as point of contact for all technical issues

Key Responsibilities

  • Defining, planning and managing the development of a construction project.
  • Coordinating engineering information provided by our consultants into architectural and construction projects.
  • Producing and developing architectural drawing packages from especially within RIBA stage 3 and 4
  • Developing and advising on innovative solutions alongside a brand’s guidelines and vision.
  • Managing and coordinating the detailed design process, specification and finishes selection.
  • Producing documentation for statutory approvals by Landlords and Local Authorities.
  • Working closely with project managers in preparing Tendering information.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes.
  • Undertaking 3D building Surveys, Site Visits and inspections.
  • Collaborating with the ML Team during the project closure phase, Managing Snagging Lists and O&M reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent experience
  • 2 - 4 years related experience
  • Proficiency in REVIT
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong technical expertise related to design and construction

Education

  • A degree in Architecture is essential, and it should be accredited by the ARB (Architects Registration Board) for Part 2 qualification in the UK.
  • Part 2 Accreditation: Successful completion of the Part 2 qualification process is mandatory.

Skills

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Building Design Software (BIM) like Revit or ArchiCAD, alongside 2D drafting software like AutoCAD.
  • Design Skills: A strong understanding of design principles, creativity for concept development, and the ability to translate ideas into technical drawings.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, project managers, and consultant teams.
  • Presentation Skills: The ability to present design proposals and technical drawings clearly and persuasively.
  • Soft Skills: Time management, problem-solving, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong work ethic are all crucial.

Knowledge and Expertise

  • Building Regulations: A good working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and their application to various projects.
  • Construction Methods & Materials: Understanding of different construction methods and materials used in architectural projects.
  • RIBA Stages: Familiarity with the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Work Stages for building projects.
  • Visualization Skills: Proficiency in 3D modelling and rendering software like SketchUp or Enscape for creating visuals.
  • Site Visit Experience: Experience on construction sites can be a plus.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, and a willingness to contribute to wider practice groups and activities.
  • Retail or fitout project experience would be beneficial.

About You

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who enjoys fast paced projects with unique and complex daily challenges. They would enjoy working closely with project managers and retail brands to bring a vision to life. The candidate would be comfortable with site visits and working closely with general contractors as well as enjoy working with heritage buildings. The candidate would be proactive and capable of working autonomously when required, and relish working within a small team on an array of projects.
