We are looking for an Insight Manager to join our growing insights team and play a pivotal role in driving strategic research across our diverse portfolio of clients spanning sports, music and entertainment with both brands and rights holders. You’ll partner closely with all parts of dentsu Sports International to provide considered and impactful insights to support a wide range of client needs.

As an Insight Manager, you will lead research initiatives across multiple disciplines, and we are seeking someone who has a diverse range of experience and an appetite to expand their expertise. Two of the key services our clients require are partnership valuation and consumer research (including brand health and audience research). You’ll champion a consumer-centric mindset, synthesise actionable insight from multiple sources, and make evidence-based recommendations that shape winning strategies. You will set high-performance standards for yourself and your peers, ensuring we continuously improve how we work and what we deliver. The role will report into VP Dentsu Sports Analytics and is based in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Turn insight into impact: Champion a consumer-centric mindset by elevating data into deep, actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
  • Ask the right questions: Partner with client teams and our clients directly to shape the research questions that matter most, then use insight to answer them with clarity and purpose.
  • Lead research that matters: Run focused, fast, and meaningful research using the best agile tools and trusted agency partners to deliver deep consumer understanding and brand health tracking.
  • Develop consumer segmentation: Shape and apply consumer segmentation frameworks grounded in behavioural science, creating actionable audience profiles that guide strategic decisions.
  • Synthesise insight: Transform complex data into clear, compelling narratives that drive action and inform strategic recommendations.
  • Influence winning strategies: Work hand-in-hand with commercial and product teams to develop compelling propositions grounded in real human insight, not assumptions.
  • Present with impact: Lead compelling client presentations and internal stakeholder updates that bring insights to life and inspire action through excellent storytelling and data visualisation.
  • Own research tools and capabilities: Act as the expert on key research platforms and tools, managing updates, quality standards, and agency partnerships to ensure best-in-class delivery.
  • Lead with energy: Be a passionate advocate for insight, inspiring teams and stakeholders to listen, learn and act with curiosity and conviction.

Client Servicing & Account Management

  • Manage day-to-day and strategic relationships with clients, setting the tone for client servicing excellence, preparing proposals, and leading status calls and updates.

  • Support our culture and values targets by involving yourself in the planning and delivery of culture and value initiatives.

New Business & Marketing

  • Pro-actively support new biz function by participating in new client proposals and pitch processes. Look at opportunities to increase business from current client base.
  • Pro-actively look at development of new tools and services to be offered to potential clients. Support the agency marketing plan with data and insights.

Self-Development

  • Seek out and actively learn new skills (through relevant training, webinars etc.) to develop and increase knowledge. Plan and agree short- and long-term goals with your line manager, drive your own career development.

People Management

  • Act as a mentor and coach to your direct reports to help them develop in their role and career, promoting an inclusive environment where everyone’s voice can be heard.
  • Provide regular on the go feedback and regular structured 121’s which focuses on performance. Discuss and agree clear performance objectives and L&D opportunities, which supports both the business and your direct reports personal ambitions, identifying areas of strengths and weaknesses.

What We’re Looking For

You’re passionate about understanding consumer behaviour and driven by the desire to unlock insights that shape winning strategies. You combine deep research expertise with commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Most importantly, you’re curious, collaborative, and committed to delivering impact.

Proven experience in a client-side insight function or leading research agency, having led insight projects across a wide range of research capabilities and methodologies. Strong understanding of consumer, customer and market research methodologies including segmentation, attitudinal, behavioural and partnership valuation research, with particular knowledge of first-party data capture, management and application in sports and entertainment contexts. Experience leveraging self-service research tools, AI-driven insight solutions, and managing third-party research agencies to deliver best-in-class insights.

To be able to deliver this we need you to have:

  • Excellent storytelling, data visualisation and presentation skills, with the ability to create succinct, impactful communications that drive action and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working on partnership valuation studies, brand health tracking, audience segmentation, or consumer research programmes across quantitative or qualitative research.
  • Demonstrable experience in project management and client servicing excellence.
  • Strong proficiency with research and analytics tools and platforms, including first-party data platforms and customer data management systems used in sports and entertainment (e.g. GWI, YouGov, Brandwatch etc).
  • A genuine interest in understanding consumer behaviour, motivations and the factors that drive decision-making across our sports and entertainment.
  • Demonstrable ability to influence senior stakeholders by conveying complex insights in a clear, actionable manner that inspires decision-making.
  • A people-first mindset: You value curiosity, collaboration and connection, and understand that the best insights come from deep understanding of human behaviour.
  • A team mentality, building high performing teams both through line management and brilliant project work.
