A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Production technician at MKS INSTRUMENTS in our production site in CREWE, you will partner with the production team to assemble, test and perform final assembly on our high‑tech products. In this role, you will report to Lee, our Operations Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Sub‑assembly of complex precision‑mechanical, electronic and electro‑mechanical components.
  • Ensuring products are built and tested in a timely manner in line with current procedures and drawings to meet customer demand.
  • Performing final assembly and test on a range of mechanical, electro‑mechanical and electrical/electronic assemblies.
  • Ensuring the highest level of quality is achieved at all times.
  • Working to MKS documentation and relevant regulatory (including Health & Safety and Quality) in order to provide a consistent and professional approach.
  • Continuously improving work methods (including within the team and with other functions both within and outside the organization), processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills You Bring:

  • Significant experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Some experience of electro‑mechanical assemblies; ability to read engineering drawings/schematics.
  • Computer literate with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build your own learning and development within the role.
  • Previous mass spectrometry assembly experience is advantageous, as well as experience in the semiconductor industry or working with valves, pumps, or scientific tools.
