We are now looking to add a Qualified Accountant on a permanent, full time basis due to ongoing growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of year end financial statements for Sole trade, Partnership and Limited Companies
  • Self Assessment tax returns for self-employed, partnerships and individuals
  • Capital Gains Tax computations
  • Completion of VAT returns in line with MTD
  • Preparation of management accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis using a variety of cloud based software (mainly QBO and Xero)
  • Being a trusted adviser to clients, forming excellent client relationships
  • Being responsible for service delivery and seeking opportunities to add value
  • Assisting with Payroll & CIS and liaising with HMRC, where required

Experience and qualifications:

  • ACCA or ACA Qualified
  • Strong IT skills and sound knowledge of the use of Excel and Cloud Accounting Software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients at all levels
  • Good organisational skills as well as the ability to take initiative and contribute to the effective running of the firm
  • Ability to produce high quality financial information and work to deadlines
  • 2 years minimum experience in Practice environment preferred
