mkodo is seeking a strategic thinking Product Manager to support the growth of our Geolocs product. Reporting to the Head of Product, this role will define the product roadmap to meet strategic goals and clearly communicate the value that the product delivers to clients. This role will be pivotal in shaping the vision, strategy, and execution of GeoLocs. You’ll be the bridge between customers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams — ensuring we build products that deliver real value and drive measurable business impact.

Partnering with the finance team, it will support business case development, forecasting, and ROI analysis to ensure product investments deliver value. You’ll take ownership of the full product lifecycle: from understanding customer needs and defining the roadmap, to collaborating with stakeholders, design, engineering, commercial and finance through delivery and iterative releases. You’ll use data, insights, and market understanding to make informed decisions, and you’ll champion the voice of the customer at every step.

In addition to core product ownership, this role will provide leadership and guidance to a team of Business Analysts and Associate Product Managers. It will be responsible for mentoring team members, supporting their professional growth, and creating a collaborative environment that encourages learning and continuous improvement. This role is both strategic and hands-on. You’ll balance long-term vision with short-term priorities, manage competing demands, and work collaboratively to deliver outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring curiosity, analytical thinking, and strong collaboration skills to help shape a product that continues to scale and evolve in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap: Define, refine, and communicate the long-term product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategy. Ensure a continuously updated roadmap is coordinated with leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Feature Development & Specifications: Drive the ideation, evaluation, and prioritisation of new features, balancing customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility. Develop comprehensive product specifications in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Success Metrics: Establish, track, and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and other success metrics to measure product performance. Utilise data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and inform strategic decisions. Develop and implement strategies to drive product growth and scalability, including leveraging heuristics, machine learning models, and high-velocity experimentation.
  • GeoLocs Advocacy: Primary advocate for GeoLocs, representing mkodo in trade shows and pre-sales calls. Building client relationships and supporting the sales pipeline.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain transparent and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels. Provide regular updates and facilitate feedback loops to ensure alignment and support.
  • Market and Customer Insights: Conduct deep market and customer research to gather insights and validate product concepts. Use data to inform strategic decisions and measure product success. Stay abreast of industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
  • Go-to-Market Planning: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, working cross-functionally to provide launch plans, marketing campaigns, and sales enablement. Monitor product performance post-launch and drive continuous improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • UI/UX Design and Evaluation: Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to ensure the product is intuitive, user-friendly, and meets high design standards. Ensure a consistent and engaging user experience across all product touchpoints, aligning with overall product vision.
  • Compliance, Security and Privacy: Ensure the product complies with relevant information security, privacy and compliance regulations. Work with the Information Security Officer, compliance manager, and engineering teams to build robust products. Continuously review and update security protocols to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Financial and Performance Management: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success. Work with finance to track profitability margin and ensure financial targets are met. Define commercial model in collaboration with the commercial team.
  • Operationalising: Develop and implement processes to operationalise new product features and onboarding new clients. Collaborate with account managers and support teams to ensure smooth product rollout. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and training materials.
  • Software Lifecycle: Drive standardisation and version control – EOL older versions and rationalise the number of supported versions to aid speedier delivery. Look for new commercial opportunities for chargeable functionality that can be turned on/off per client, therefore reducing multiple versions.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance to a team of Business Analysts and Associate Product Managers. Be responsible for mentoring team members, supporting their professional growth, and creating a collaborative environment that encourages learning and continuous improvement.
  • Support mkodo in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of its ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS). Adhere to all relevant mkodo ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, procedures and requirements at all times. Complete any reasonable tasks relating to the mkodo ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS).
