About the job

The People Partner will work closely with the Director of People and Culture in all things people-related, providing expert advice, coaching, and support to ensure our managers lead their teams effectively, drive performance, and create an inclusive high-performing culture.

This role will champion the mkodo culture, support the mkodo team, and help every team member succeed. Working within a small People team, this is a hands-on fast-moving role – that requires a pragmatic, people-focused approach and passion for creating a great employee experience. ❤️

📝 What You\’ll Be Doing…

  • Acting as partner, advisor and role model to all our team, championing our values and culture code.
  • Own, manage, and resolve employee relations issues in a kind and effective way ensuring that best practices and employment laws are followed.
  • Create, maintain, and manage the delivery of a consistent performance management framework, that focuses on embedding mkodo values and enhances our culture, including objective setting, and mid-year and end-of-year reviews.
  • Provide monthly People related reports on key metrics such as employee attendance, turnover rates, recruitment progress, and employee performance.
  • Responsible for planning, implementing, and directing HR programs and projects to align with business strategies e.g. annual volunteer days, ED&I initiatives, etc.
  • Lead and develop a proactive Learning & Development program, working with each department to understand requirements.

  • You have CIPD Level 5 or 7 Qualification (degree, diploma, qualification).
  • You have strong experience within HR as an Advisor or Business Partner, preferably within the private sector.
  • You are a people-centric person – you genuinely care about helping others succeed and creating a great place to work.
  • You have confidence and credibility – someone who can establish connections and trust quickly and build relationships, influencing and coaching peers and leaders.
  • You are an agile & a problem-solving person – you are resourceful, adaptable, and solution-focused – no textbook HR!
  • You have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to initiate challenging discussions where appropriate.

💪Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in leading Succession Planning.
  • A strong L&D background.
  • Experience within the Technical or IT industry.
  • Implementation of Performance Management programs.
