The Role

The Associate Product Manager role is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow into product management while leveraging strong analytical and business skills. Reporting to a Product Manager, you will support the delivery of product features and enhancements, ensuring alignment with client needs and business goals.

This role combines product ownership fundamentals with business analysis responsibilities, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and supporting agile delivery. You will act as a bridge between clients, internal teams, and product leadership — helping to translate business needs into actionable product requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap: Assist Product Managers in refining and maintaining the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and client needs. Contribute to prioritisation discussions and feature evaluations.
  • Feature Development & Specifications: Gather, analyse, and document business requirements using interviews, workshops, and data analysis. Translate requirements into clear user stories and functional specifications for development teams. Support backlog management and participate in sprint planning and refinement sessions.
  • Success Metrics: Assist in tracking KPIs and product performance metrics. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to initiatives that enhance delivery efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external partners to ensure clarity and alignment on requirements and deliverables. Maintain transparent communication channels between technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Market and Customer Insights: Support research activities to gather insights on customer needs and market trends. Contribute to validating product concepts and feature ideas.
  • Go‑to‑Market Planning: Assist in preparing documentation and training materials for product launches and client onboarding. Support operationalising new features and ensuring smooth rollout.
  • UI/UX Design and Evaluation: Work with designers to review wireframes and prototypes, ensuring usability and alignment with product goals.
  • Compliance, Security and Privacy: Ensure adherence to mkodo’s ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies and procedures.
  • Operationalising: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and training materials. Support onboarding processes and client enablement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continually assess and improve processes, documentation, and delivery efficiency. Support initiatives to enhance product quality and user experience.

The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office once a week (minimum of four times per month) for team meetings and collaboration.
