The MKM Dundee Stars are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Coach to join our coaching staff for the upcoming Elite Ice Hockey League season. This is an opportunity to work within a high-performance environment and help build a team culture centered on professionalism, accountability, development, and winning.
Key Responsibilities
- Bench management and in-game communication
- Practice planning and on-ice skill instruction
- Video analysis, breakdowns, and presentation of team and individual clips
- Special teams planning and execution
- Assist with player development and individual feedback
- Travel, scheduling, and hockey operations logistics
- Contribute positively to the daily culture and standards of the organization
Qualifications
- Level 2 IIHF Coaching Certificate or equivalent
- Previous coaching experience at the junior, collegiate, or professional level
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with hockey video software and analytics platforms
- A detailed understanding of systems play and special teams
- The ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities
- A growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning
- Willingness to relocate to Dundee, Scotland, and work in a demanding professional hockey environment
