MK Services is looking for Swiss Machine Setup/Operators for our 1st shift operations. Job shop experience is desired. Must operate Star Swiss, read prints & use hand-held measuring devices. Must be able to change tools, make offsets, inspect parts, complete required paperwork, work in a team environment, and work without direct supervision to complete required duties. The ability to set up is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up machines (Install tooling, touch off tools, install guide bushings/collets, etc.)
  • Control and adjust machine settings (guide bushing, collet tension, etc.)
  • Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift
  • Check the output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Maintain activity logs
  • Maintain a clean work area
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • Proven experience as a Swiss Machine operator (Star Swiss)
  • Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.)
  • Understanding and interpreting GD&T
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear)
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
  • Analytical skills

  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree is a plus
