MK Search are working in partnership with a well-established and highly respected M&E contractor who are continuing to experience significant growth following the award of multiple prestigious projects across the UK.
Due to an expanding workload, they are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator to strengthen their commercial and pre-construction team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering technically challenging projects within the life sciences, data centre, commercial and industrial/warehouse sectors.
Working as part of a collaborative team of experienced estimators and commercial professionals, you will play a key role in securing high-value projects while benefiting from fully remote working, excellent career development and a market-leading salary and package.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed mechanical estimates and cost plans for tender submissions.
- Review drawings, specifications and employer's requirements.
- Produce accurate take-offs and pricing for mechanical packages.
- Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
- Work closely with the pre-construction, design and commercial teams throughout the tender process.
- Attend tender meetings and contribute to bid strategy.
- Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E or Building Services sector.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services installations.
- Experience pricing commercial, life sciences, industrial, warehouse or data centre projects would be advantageous.
- Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
