A leading Tier 1 M&E Contractor is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join their growing team delivering large-scale residential developments across Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most established and respected M&E contractors in the market, working on prestigious projects with well-known main contractors. The Role
You will play a key role across both technical preconstruction and project delivery, ensuring electrical packages are engineered and coordinated effectively before moving onto site to deliver complex installations. Working as part of an experienced project team, you will support projects from engineering and technical planning through to successful site delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the engineering and technical preconstruction phase of major residential developments
- Review and coordinate electrical designs, specifications and technical submissions
- Assist with value engineering and buildability reviews
- Liaise with consultants, designers and main contractors during the preconstruction stage
- Transition to site during delivery to support project management and coordination of electrical works
- Monitor programme, quality, and technical compliance on site
- Support procurement of electrical packages and specialist subcontractors
- Ensure installations meet project specifications and industry standards
Requirements
- Experience working as an Electrical Engineer / Electrical Project Engineer within the M&E / Building Services sector
- Previous exposure to large residential or mixed-use developments
- Strong understanding of electrical building services systems
- Experience working with M&E contractors or major subcontractors
- Ability to support both preconstruction engineering and site delivery phases
- Strong coordination and communication skills when working with project teams and main contractors
