Overview: Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor Opportunity - Canary Wharf - Leading M&E Contractor. We are working with a leading M&E contractor to appoint a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team in Canary Wharf. This is an opportunity to join a culture-driven business renowned for delivering high-profile projects across the commercial fit-out and data centre sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full commercial lifecycle of M&E projects from inception to final account
- Prepare, submit, and negotiate contractual documentation (e.g. Notices of Delay, EoTs)
- Administer and interpret contracts, with a strong focus on JCT forms
- Work closely with project teams to monitor costs, risks, and programme impacts
- Provide accurate reporting and forecasting across multiple live projects
- Maintain excellent client relationships and uphold high standards of customer care
- Support negotiation and resolution of commercial issues
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing multi-million-pound M&E projects
- Strong understanding of mechanical & electrical installations
- Solid knowledge of standard form contracts, particularly JCT
- Experience preparing and submitting contractual notices (e.g. EoT, delays)
- Good understanding of RIBA stages and associated requirements
- Professional, client-facing approach with a focus on service delivery
- Ability to remain calm and solve problems under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident and effective communicator
- Strong decision-making skills with awareness of upstream and downstream impacts
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects to strict deadlines
- Strong negotiation skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Right to work in the UK
