Mk Search is working with a well established M&E contractor with a turnover of circa £200 m. The company is seeking an M&E Project Director to lead a £35 m medicinal pharmaceutical project in Newport, South Wales. The project has just been secured and the successful candidate will manage the scheme from early‑stage pre‑construction through to project completion. It is a complex engineering build with cleanrooms, black and clean utilities and other major, complex packages.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend project meetings and produce reports.
  • Build relationships with clients and contractors as part of the team.
  • Attend meetings with designers, specialist contractors and internal teams.
  • Review designs to ensure compliance with specification.
  • Review, assess and select mechanical sub‑contractors.
  • Maintain knowledge of market rates and provide commercial input to the procurement team.
  • Conduct on‑site reviews and manage building services installation to ensure contract compliance.
  • Ensure health and safety policy is adhered to during the project duration.

Sign off to pay a very good salary or day rate (CIS or Ltd) and the opportunity to join a leading contractor with an excellent reputation on a notable project.
