A leading M&E contractor is seeking to appoint a Mechanical Testing Assurance Manager to support the successful delivery of a busy portfolio of prestigious construction projects across London.
This is a newly created position offering a unique opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager, Mechanical Project Manager or Commissioning Manager to move into a business-wide technical leadership role.
Working alongside senior operational, commissioning and project delivery teams, you will be responsible for driving consistency and best practice across all aspects of mechanical testing and pre-commissioning.
Rather than being tied to a single project, you'll work across multiple live sites, supporting project teams to ensure testing activities are planned, coordinated and delivered to the highest technical standards before systems are handed over for commissioning.

The Role
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will work closely with Mechanical Project Managers, Construction Managers, Commissioning Managers and site teams to provide technical oversight and assurance throughout the mechanical testing phase of each project.
Your responsibilities will include
- Providing technical assurance across all mechanical testing and pre-commissioning activities.
- Supporting project teams with the planning and coordination of pressure testing, flushing, chemical cleaning and other mechanical testing processes.
- Working closely with Commissioning Managers to ensure a smooth transition from installation through testing and into commissioning.
- Reviewing testing methodologies, documentation and project readiness prior to commissioning.
- Promoting a consistent approach to mechanical testing across multiple live projects.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to project delivery teams.
- Identifying risks, resolving technical issues and supporting successful project delivery.
- Working alongside senior members of the business to continually improve testing standards, procedures and best practice.
- Liaising with specialist subcontractors, consultants and client representatives where required.

- Good knowledge of commissioning processes and project handover.
