Mechanical Site Manager Opportunity - Heathrow Airport - Capital Works for Tier 1 M&E Contractor

MK Search are working closely with a well-respected M&E contractor who are looking to engage with an experienced Mechanical Site Manager for long-term capital works on Heathrow Airport. The company in question has a strong reputation across sectors and has recently won a lot of work across the UK and Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager to manage and supervise personnel on a busy construction site.
  • Set safety standards and oversee quality of works.
  • Carry out checks on employees to ensure they have the correct training and certification.
  • Manage resources to ensure work runs smoothly.
  • Always have an overview of incidents and standards on site, taking action when needed.
  • Manage and train apprentices in accordance with relevant training.
  • Be commercially aware when procuring materials, using the proper purchasing systems.
  • Assist in ensuring systems are handed over to the client.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical academic/trade qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in a similar role
  • Ability to confidently manage subcontractors and direct staff
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS card
