MK Search are working closely with a well-respected M&E contractor who are looking to engage with an experienced Mechanical Site Manager for long-term capital works on Heathrow Airport. The company in question has a strong reputation across sectors and has recently won a lot of work across the UK and Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager to manage and supervise personnel on a busy construction site.
- Set safety standards and oversee quality of works.
- Carry out checks on employees to ensure they have the correct training and certification.
- Manage resources to ensure work runs smoothly.
- Always have an overview of incidents and standards on site, taking action when needed.
- Manage and train apprentices in accordance with relevant training.
- Be commercially aware when procuring materials, using the proper purchasing systems.
- Assist in ensuring systems are handed over to the client.
Requirements:
- Mechanical academic/trade qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a similar role
- Ability to confidently manage subcontractors and direct staff
