MK Search & Selection are currently working with a well-respected M&E contractor with a turnover of £80m and a strong presence delivering across sectors for leading main contractors who are looking for a mechanical project manager to work on an £11.5m M&E healthcare project in Guildford, Surrey. Reporting to an operations manager, you will work alongside an electrical counterpart of the same level. Joining from the pre-construction phase, you will go to site in Q3 of this year tasked with leading the mechanical package to PC.
Duties:
- Attend Post-tender / Pre-contract review meetings with Clients & Main Contractors to discuss and agree contract scope along with both commercial and contractual matters.
- Post contract award carry out initial equipment checks alongside our design team and advise the design team of any concerns at the earliest opportunity to avoid any procurement / programming or financial implications later.
- Post contract award develop equipment procurement and buying schedules for allocated contracts, along with sending out enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors based on received contract documents for completeness and for better buying purposes.
- Place subcontract & material orders to satisfy the requirements of our contracts to satisfy technical, programme, cost and quality compliances.
- Monitoring of site labour and keeping a record of site activities, numbers of operatives / sub-contractors on site and cost checks against the tender estimates.
