Mechanical Project Manager Opportunity - Central London - Commercial Fit Out

MK Search are working with a well-respected and established M&E contractor, operating as a full turnkey provider within the commercial fit-out sector who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Manager to join their Small Works Division. The role will focus predominantly on live banking frameworks, delivering fast-paced, high-quality projects in occupied and security-sensitive environments.

The role:

  • You will take full responsibility for the mechanical delivery of multiple small works and fit-out projects, from pre-construction through to handover. Working closely with internal design, commercial and construction teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely on programme and within budget.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage mechanical packages on small works and fit-out projects within banking environments
  • Develop and maintain project programmes using your own planning methodologies
  • Oversee procurement, subcontractor management and site coordination
  • Maintain strong commercial awareness, including cost control, variations and valuations
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with H&S, quality standards and client procedures
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-moving framework environment

About you:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Mechanical Project Manager role within a main contracting M&E environment
  • Proven background in commercial fit-out projects (banking or high-end commercial desirable)
  • Comfortable producing and managing your own project programmes
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness
  • Organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple small works projects
  • Based within a 50-mile commute of London
