Assistant Electrical Project Manager Opportunity - Leading Contractor - Central London
MK Search are working closely with a leading M&E Contractor who are currently experiencing growth in the commercial fit out and data centre sectors across London and the UK.
They are looking for someone who has shown proven knowledge and experience in the electrical industry who is at supervisor or site manager level, who is looking to progress into a project manager role with a growing and dynamic contractor.
You will be involved in smaller works on commercial fit out projects across London, reporting into the contracts manager who will give you a progression path to become a project manager within a year.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and comply with company rules, HSQE standards, environmental and legal requirements.
- Manage site delivery to meet quality, safety, programme, and customer expectations.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain activities.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance and HSQE processes from pre-start to completion.
- Ensure all programmes, RAMS, permits, and site documentation are current and followed.
- Deliver toolbox talks and prepare health & safety documentation and reports.
- Order materials, raise purchase orders, and follow best-buying procedures.
- Maintain accurate site records, testing documentation, working hours, and system uploads.
- Monitor site standards, labour allocation, competence, and training.
- Identify risks, issues, cost-saving opportunities, and added value, escalating where required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Chair and attend site and project meetings, including subcontractor meetings.
- Conduct site surveys and support scope and cost development.
- Ensure snag-free, compliant project completion, with flexibility for weekend work as required.
