An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join one of the UK's leading Tier 1 M&E contractors on a flagship residential development in the heart of Leeds city centre. This prestigious project will deliver 600+ high-specification apartments and represents one of the region's most notable residential schemes. With a strong pipeline of future projects across Yorkshire and the North, this position offers excellent long-term career prospects with a well-established and highly respected contractor.

Reporting to the Mechanical Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of mechanical services throughout the construction phase, maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and programme performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervising and coordinating mechanical subcontractors on site
  • Monitoring installation works to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings and programme requirements
  • Managing and driving quality assurance (QA) procedures and inspections
  • Conducting regular site inspections and ensuring works meet required standards
  • Promoting and enforcing health & safety procedures across all mechanical activities
  • Assisting with commissioning, testing and handover activities
  • Identifying and resolving site issues to maintain project progress
  • Attending site meetings and providing progress updates to project management teams
  • Supporting the delivery of the project on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as a Mechanical Supervisor within the building services sector
  • Strong background delivering large-scale residential, commercial or mixed-use developments
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical building services installations
  • Strong understanding of QA processes and health & safety regulations
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple work fronts effectively
  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification preferred
  • Relevant mechanical trade or technical qualifications
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
