An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Package Manager to join a leading M&E Contractor on a major data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany. Our client has established an excellent reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects across the Data Centre, Commercial, Pharmaceutical and Industrial sectors. With a strong pipeline of secured work, they are continuing to expand their operations throughout the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.

Following completion of the Frankfurt project, there will be opportunities to remain in Germany or move onto other major projects across Europe.

The Role

As Electrical Package Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of key electrical packages on the project, working closely with the wider project team, subcontractors, consultants and client. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing electrical packages from installation through to completion and handover
  • Coordinating electrical subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered in line with the programme
  • Monitoring progress, productivity, quality and costs
  • Managing technical queries, drawings, specifications and design coordination
  • Ensuring installations comply with project requirements and relevant standards
  • Working closely with Mechanical, CSA, Commercial and Commissioning teams
  • Managing short-term programmes and identifying potential delays or risks
  • Overseeing QA/QC procedures and ensuring documentation is maintained
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety across electrical works
  • Attending progress, coordination and client meetings
  • Supporting testing, commissioning and project handover

Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as an Electrical Package Manager, Electrical Project Manager or Senior Electrical Engineer
  • A strong electrical background within the M&E contracting sector
  • Experience delivering large-scale, technically complex projects
  • Data centre experience is highly advantageous
  • Strong subcontractor and package management experience
  • Excellent technical, organisational and communication skills
  • Experience working on projects in Europe would be beneficial but is not essential
