Mechanical Supervisor in Edinburgh

Mechanical Supervisor Opportunity - Leading M&E Contractor - Edinburgh, Scotland MK Search are working with a leading and rapidly growing M&E contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join their expanding team in Edinburgh. The company have recently secured a significant pipeline of work across Scotland and are looking to strengthen their delivery team for a number of commercial fit-out, banking framework, retail and pharmaceutical projects. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work in the Edinburgh region with an established contractor who are continuing to invest and grow their Scottish operation. Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities: * Supervise mechanical installation works across multiple projects * Manage direct labour, trades teams and specialist subcontractors * Oversee HVAC, pipework, plumbing and associated mechanical services * Ensure installations are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications * Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, architectural and other construction packages * Monitor programme, productivity and quality of works * Carry out site inspections and ensure works meet required standards * Maintain high standards of health & safety across site * Attend site and coordination meetings * Identify and resolve installation issues * Assist with testing, commissioning and project handover * Report progress to the Mechanical Project Manager/Construction Manager Requirements: * Previous experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within the building services/M&E sector * Strong knowledge of mechanical building services installations * Experience on commercial fit-out, retail, pharmaceutical or similar projects advantageous * Experience managing trades teams and subcontractors * Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications * Strong communication and site management skills * Relevant mechanical trade background or qualifications advantageous * SSSTS/SMSTS desirable The Opportunity: The contractor have recently secured a strong pipeline of projects across Edinburgh and the wider Scottish market, providing excellent job security and opportunities for progression.
