MK Search are partnered closely with the Northern division of a leading M&E contractor who due to a period of extended growth are looking to engage with an experienced Project Manager with Main Contracting experience for a variety of new projects in the Northwest. You will be responsible for overseeing and delivering projects ranging from £100k - £4m in value in the commercial, data centre and residential sectors. Reporting into a Contracts Manager, you will be managing site managers and external subcontractors throughout the projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client on each project and represent the company in a professional manner with a big focus on customer care.
  • Confident communication, leading presentations and meetings.
  • Proven ability to fully understand the client's demands, technical specifications and drawings.
  • Experience in the RIBA design, delivery and project commissioning stages.
  • Be able to contribute and manage against the sequence of works for the project programme.
  • Create and present regular progress reports to project stakeholders.
  • Understanding the importance of the development and submission of RFI’s, TQ’s and driving close out of items raised.
  • Commercially astute, sound awareness of the contract terms ensuring adherence, ability to highlight risks, manage variations, delays and EOT requirements, liaising with internal QS’s to ensure that the business is commercially protected.
  • Good understanding of JCT and NEC contracts desirable.
  • Lead by example, promote the highest of standards with regards to HSEQ best practice, ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, ISO accreditations and legislative requirements in all instances.
  • Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations, Principal Designer & Principal Contractor responsibilities under appointment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new ways of working.
  • Drive the company’s vision, values and work ethic, contributing to the growth of the business.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Live within 50 miles of Warrington.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS Qualification or equivalent.
  • Two references.
