Estimator - Fit Out in City of London

Fit Out Estimator Opportunity – Leading Contractor – Commercial Small Works

MK Search are working closely with a leading M&E and full turnkey contractor who are looking to engage with an experienced Estimator for their small works division based in Central London. The company in question are a highly reputable firm in the commercial fit out and data centre spaces and have a turnover of c. £90m.

You will be working in an experienced commercial team supplying tender documents, compliance quotations and producing handovers to the contracts teams, you will also be required to attend preconstruction meetings and negotiate supplier/subcontractor quotes.

Requirements

• Min. 3-5 years of working for a principal contractor.
• In-depth knowledge of estimating and quoting.
• Vast knowledge of building regulations.
• IT proficient.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Interpret client briefs from site visits and prepare detailed estimates
• Work with internal and external teams to produce coordinated estimates
• Identify new tender opportunities from drawings and specifications
• Complete accurate quantity take-offs for materials and labour
• Develop tender programmes, scopes of work, and clarifications
• Attend site/tender visits to flag issues and propose solutions
• Understand project planning and construction sequencing
• Clarify specifications with clients through RFIs
• Source competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
• Contribute to tender reviews, handovers, and project close-out
