MK-Search have partnered with a leading M&E contractor with a turnover of circa 400m and a strong presence delivering notable high value engineering schemes across London, the UK and mainland Europe who are looking for a commissioning manager to join their team on a 90m M&E mixed use commercial project in Central London.
Reporting to a group commissioning lead, you will act as a senior member of this flagship project with an involvement from a very early stage, tasked with developing and implementing a commissioning strategy across the campus through to PC. You will have a direct team of commissioning engineers and also external consultancies.
- Provide expertise regarding the overall project commissioning processes and deliver commissioned and operational M&E Systems to clients.
- Attend various meetings with clients, sub-contractors, project teams offering support and assistance on M&E System's delivery.
- Coordinate with all other trades working on a job site to ensure smooth commissioning process.
- Identify test equipment that may be required.
- Manage sub-contractor testing and commissioning, carry out witness testing with subcontractors and review documentation.
- Provide assistance in writing and reviewing Commissioning and Testing RAMS.
- Conduct quality control inspections on project sites during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages.
- Ensure that contractor commissioning activities are properly coordinated.
- Ensure that tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
- Analyse and quickly resolve any problems that may arise and ensure that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed and accurate commissioning site reports.
- Ensure applicable project team personnel have the required EHS training to carry out commissioning activities associated with the project.
What we are looking for:
- Mechanically or Electrically qualified (understanding of both).
- Strong knowledge of Cx practices.
- Previous experience communicating on the project's progress to key stakeholders, such as the project director, client, architects, engineers.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
