LVAP / Testing Manager | Major Pharmaceutical Project | Cambridge MK Search are working closely with a leading M&E contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced LVAP / Testing Manager to join the delivery of one of the UK's most prestigious pharmaceutical construction projects in Cambridge.

This is an opportunity to join a market-leading contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex MEP projects across the life sciences, pharmaceutical, data centre and commercial sectors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the safe energisation, testing and commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure on a technically demanding pharmaceutical facility, working closely with the project delivery, commissioning and client teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and carry out LV switching operations, plant shutdowns and electrical isolations.
  • Act as the designated Authorised Person (LVAP) for the project, ensuring all electrical safety procedures are implemented and maintained.
  • Supervise nominated and instructed persons carrying out electrical safety work.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety rules, permits to work and safe systems of work.
  • Support testing, commissioning and energisation activities across critical building services installations.
  • Apply technical expertise to complex engineered systems within a live pharmaceutical construction environment.
  • Identify, assess and escalate technical and operational risks where appropriate.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, reporting, commissioning, handover and technical documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with project management, commissioning teams and the client to ensure programme and quality objectives are achieved. What's on Offer:
