We’re looking for an experienced Construction Manager (LVAP – Electrical) to take ownership of Low Voltage Authorised Person duties during the services construction phase of a major project. This role is ideal for a hands-on electrical professional with strong site leadership skills, a safety-first mindset, and proven experience managing live electrical environments.
As the project’s dedicated LVAP, you’ll be responsible for the safe coordination, control, and energisation of electrical systems on site, working closely with the wider project team and supply chain.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the LVAP during the electrical services construction phase
- Coordinating all electrical site activities, inspections, and livening-up procedures in line with strict safety and compliance standards
- Proactively managing health & safety across electrical works
- Collaborating with the project team, contractors, and subcontractors to deliver programme and quality objectives
- Day-to-day site coordination and planning to ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently
- Reviewing and managing RAMS, ITPs, permits, consents, and authorisations
- Overseeing testing, commissioning, and energisation of electrical installations
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience operating in an AP / LVAP role on construction projects
- Strong understanding of electrical testing, commissioning, and energisation
- LVAP training completed and kept up to date
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Minimum 5 years’ practical electrical experience
- SMSTS (or equivalent H&S qualification)
- Confident working in live environments with multiple work packages and stakeholders
