Recovery Coordinator

Location: Base location will be at 55 Dartmouth Road, London SE23 3HN; however, additional travel will be required when needed.
Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

About the role…
PCRS & Aftercare Lewisham is looking for an experienced substance misuse Recovery Coordinator. The key duties will include the following:

  1. Manage a caseload of adult service users in a mix GPSC (GP Shared Care) and Primary Care Recovery service setting, working at GP surgeries as well as at our main office in Lewisham.
  2. Deliver evidence-based interventions in line with individual recovery plans.
  3. Liaise closely with a full range of workers and skills within the team as well as family members and significant others as appropriate.
  4. Deliver substance misuse specific knowledge, interventions, and support, harm minimisation, and help set personalised recovery plan goals.
  5. Manage an adult caseload of OST (Opiate Substitute Treatment), alcohol, non-opiate, and alcohol and non-opiate service users, delivering person-centred care.
  6. Co-produce and review recovery and treatment plans.
  7. Facilitate and promote individuals’ progression from initial engagement through structured treatment to self-sustained recovery.
  8. Reduce alcohol/drug-related harm to individuals.
  9. Work with service users towards detoxes both community and inpatient as well as rehabilitation centres.
  10. Work collaboratively with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and well-being outcomes for individuals.

About you…
The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Experience of working with opiate service users on OST (Opiate Substitute Treatment) in a GP Shared Care environment.
  2. Experience of managing a caseload.
  3. Knowledge and/or experience of substance misuse.
  4. Experience supporting vulnerable people, whose lives have been affected by alcohol and/or drug use.

The salary advertised above demonstrates the full earning potential for this role; starting salaries will allow for pay progression within the pay band.
