Job Description
We are seeking an efficient and organized Multi-Drop Delivery Driver to join our team in Weybridge, United Kingdom. As a Multi-Drop Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of packages to multiple destinations throughout the day. This role requires a customer-focused approach and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service.
- Operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages to multiple destinations within assigned routes
- Load and unload packages efficiently, ensuring proper handling and organization
- Use GPS and routing software to plan and optimize delivery routes
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any issues encountered during the route
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations
- Manage time effectively to complete all scheduled deliveries within the allotted timeframe
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and team members regarding route progress and any delays
- Handle cash transactions and process delivery paperwork as required
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Excellent knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns in the Weybridge area and surrounding regions
- Proficiency in using GPS and routing software for efficient navigation
- Strong physical fitness, able to lift and move packages of varying weights and sizes
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in multi-drop deliveries (preferred)
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) may be required depending on the type of vehicle operated
- Flexible schedule, as weekend and holiday work may be required
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating delivery charges
- Attention to detail in maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
