The Program Manager is responsible for the coordination, planning and execution of management and operations to result in the efficient, safe and cost-effective completion of ship repair and steel fabrication projects.
The individual is responsible for performing specific tasks as described below, which are a part of the position.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate with corporate management all aspects of the material acquisition, design, fabrication and on-the-job steel operation.
- Interface with engineers, designers, shop and field personnel and client representatives in all facets of managing projects.
- Assist purchasing and design departments in materials procurement.
- Prepare estimates/proposals for extra work requested by customers.
- Promote safe construction practices and positive working relationships.
