We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Project Manager to join our expanding team, delivering high-quality mechanical installations across a diverse portfolio of NHS, education, and commercial projects.
Reporting directly to the Head of M&E, you will take full responsibility for managing mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple mechanical projects across NHS, educational, and commercial sectors.
- Oversee project delivery from planning through installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Monitor project performance, identifying and managing risks and opportunities.
- Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior management.
- Manage procurement of mechanical plant, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure projects are delivered to specification, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Support the Head of M&E in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the building services or M&E sector.
- Strong background delivering NHS, education, and commercial projects.
- Excellent understanding of mechanical building services installations.
- Experience managing project budgets, programmes, and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of current industry regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Effective leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
- SMSTS qualification.
- CSCS Manager Card.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Experience within live healthcare environments.
